Date: August 16, 2024

Time: 9 AM – 5 PM

Location: Adam’s Forge

Instructor: Ben Abbott

The tomahawk is an icon of the old west and the mythical mountaineers of early America. Used and traded among settlers and Native Americans as tools they were extremely important on the frontier. Blacksmiths that knew how to forge these tools were invaluable to individuals facing the rugged wilderness of the new world. Now we get to see it forged to life by Ben Abbott at Adam’s Forge. Join us for a workshop that will elevate your skills at the anvil as you learn from the
Forged in fire champion and judge.

This workshop will test what you already know and present you with new skills to master. Forge welding and hammering to specific dimensions will be necessary to follow along with Ben.

You’ll learn to pre-shape a steel bar, set a wrapped-eye forge weld, and do a quick, competition-style quench and temper.

Please note: All workshops are released for member-only early registration for one week before they’re available for general registration.  If you’re unable to add this class to your cart, you can wait for general release or join our membership program at any time!
