Please note: Successful completion of this workshop is a prerequisite to any power hammer workshop and for any members who wish to use them in an open forge session.

Learning how to safely operate a power hammer is a big milestone for any blacksmith looking to expand their knowledge of serious blacksmithing tools. This workshop is designed to introduce you to the best practices and safe operation of our power hammers. This two-hour course consists of a lecture to explain the mechanics and theory behind the power hammer to make sure students understand the do’s and don’ts!  Following this we will spend time forging our first practice pieces under the hammers to get a feel for how they handle and operate.

Please note: the first week that registration for this workshop is open, spots may only be purchased by members. If you find you are unable to register, please check back after that first week has passed, or consider becoming a member of Adam’s Forge. All proceeds go towards supporting our amazing organization, and membership will bring you exclusive events and opportunities, along with a community of other blacksmiths!
