Spring for a Viking means it is time to prepare for an adventure.

In this class you will make a small (about 4 inches total length) knife and “fork” no person in the Iron Age would want to be without. This is this perfect first knife for those with little blacksmithing experience and also a great project for those with more experience.

You will be making the knife of mild steel yet hardening it in a secret Viking way which will allow for a razor edge. Once hardened we will move on to sharpening and honing. Your tuition includes material to make 2 knives. Once your knife is done you will be the envy of all your fellow Norsemen and Norsewomen!

Skills learned in this class: Students should have the experience or motivation to deal with the challenge of moving metal to a very specific dimension, as well at the challenge of holding difficult shapes while striking them.
