Would you like to expand your skills to include working with leather? Perhaps you’ve done a bit of leather working and would like to learn more.  Here’s an opportunity to learn from two skilled artisans who’ve been working with leather for almost twenty years. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the tools and techniques needed to successfully work with a pattern, prepare the leather for stamping, how to choose the right tools for the design you want, as well as basic stitching, wet molding and the use of hardware in leather joinery.

Karen Norman is an accomplished leather artisan and experienced teacher. Donovan Mervis is a multi-talented artist whose creations include finely crafted leather work as well as mixed media pieces that incorporate metal, beads, and other materials with leather. Together, they’ll demonstrate and help you create your choice of either a valet tray or a card holder. All the tools and materials needed are included in the workshop fee and no prior experience is necessary.

Please note: the first week that registration for this workshop is open, spots may only be purchased by members. If you find you are unable to register, please check back after that first week has passed, or consider becoming a member of Adam’s Forge. All proceeds go towards supporting our amazing organization, and membership will bring you exclusive events and opportunities, along with a community of other blacksmiths!
